José Chapa Valle is a U.S. poet raised in Mexico, or vice versa. He is the author of Notes from the Last Age (FlowerSong Press, 2020), as well as two books in Spanish. His work in English has appeared in the Acentos Review, Eye to the Telescope, Star*Line, and elsewhere. Some of his poetry in Spanish can be found in the digital archives of Luvina, Periódico de Poesía, Caelum, and Tierra Adentro. He lives in Katy, Texas, where he works as a leadership development facilitator, sans degree.
Don Bogen is the author of five books of poetry, most recently Immediate Song (Milkweed, 2019), and the translator of Europa: Selected Poems of Julio Martínez Mesanza (Diálogos, 2016). In 2021 “The Art of Shadows,” his translation of eleven poems by the Spanish poet Juan Lamillar, won the Poetry International Tiny Chapbook Competition. An emeritus professor at the University of Cincinnati, he splits his time between Cincinnati and Martinez, California.
