Yerra Sugarman

Yerra Sugarman is the author of two poetry collections published by The Sheep Meadow Press: Forms of Gone and The Bag of Broken Glass. She has received an NEA Fellowship in Poetry, PEN American Center’s Joyce Osterweil Poetry Award, and a “Discovery”/The Nation Poetry Prize, among other honors. Her poems, translations, and critical writing have appeared widely. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Houston, and is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Toledo in Ohio.
