V is for Vocation by Jennifer Habel

A Process Note

All of the statements in this cento come from the autobiography of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. Late in the composition process, I had the idea of utilizing the Track Changes option in Word to dramatize tensions in Thérèse’s thinking and self-conception. In recent years I’ve written a number of centos, and nearly every one has required that I make a formal leap. I’m wondering why.
