Dawn McGuire is the author of four poetry collections. Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals, including the Tupelo Quarterly. She has received awards including the Indie Book Award for Poetry, the Troubadour Prize (UK), the National League of American Pen Women award, and the Sarah Lawrence/Campbell Corner Academy of Language Exchange Poetry Prize, which noted her work “treating larger themes with lyric intensity.” She was raised in Appalachian Eastern Kentucky, and is a neurologist.
