Born and raised on the east side of Oʻahu, Charity Yoro now resides on the traditional territory of the Atfalati, Clatskanie, and Kalapuya (Oregon) with her partner, daughter, and feisty feline guide named Rumi. Her writing has received Pushcart Prize and Orison Anthology nominations and is featured or forthcoming in New York Times’ Modern Love, poets.org, The Rumpus, PRISM international, Fourteen Hills, and elsewhere. Her debut poetry collection, ten-cent-flower & other territories, is forthcoming from Airlie Press (2023), where she also serves as a poetry editor.
