From Cape Town, South Africa, Henk Rossouw has recent poems in The Paris Review, The Massachusetts Review, and The Boston Review. The opening of his book-length poem Xamissa came out in The Common; another section is forthcoming in Blackbird. He completed his MFA at the University of Massachutts Amherst. About to finish his PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Houston, he serves as a poetry editor for Gulf Coast.
