Now I remember your eyes, the color, hemlock to be ground, a ball of yarn in an invisible
hand. This is your name, the one I can’t pronounce, not yet, it is not the month for
speaking.
 
There are bones of a frog to be buried and butter on a new-made dish to be found beside a

Susanne Dyckman is the author of two full-length collections of poetry, equilibrium’s form (Shearsman Books) and A Dark Ordinary (Furniture Press Books), as well as several chapbooks. A past editor of both Five Fingers Review and Instance Press, she has also taught in the Creative Writing departments of the University of San Francisco and San Francisco State University. Born in Chicago and raised in Philadelphia, she now lives and writes in the San Francisco Bay area.
