Ravi Shankar is a Pushcart Prize-winning poet and editor of more than fifteen books and chapbooks of poetry including W.W. Norton and Company’s Language for a New Century, the Muse India award winning Tamil translation Andal: The Autobiography of a Goddess and most recently a memoir, Correctional named a finalist for the 2022 Connecticut Book Awards. The founder of Drunken Boat, one of the world’s oldest electronic journals of the arts, he has been featured in the New York TimesThe Daily Beast, The Paris Review, NPR, BBC, and PBS News Hour. He lives in Providence, Rhode Island and teaches creative writing at Tufts University.
