Lauren Kalstad is a poet, professor, and essayist. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in New Orleans Review, Rogue Agent, The Southeast Review, and she was a finalist for the Crab Creek Review Poetry Prize. Her first collection, Ghost Feathers, was recently a finalist for the Louise Bogan award from Trio House Press and is still out on submission. She received her MFA from New York University and currently teaches at the University of North Texas. Kalstad is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation and lives in Dallas with her husband and daughter.
