Poet, translator and essayist Jo Ann Clark is the author 1001 Facts of Prehistoric Life (Black Lawrence Press). Her writing has been anthologized in Hot Sonnets and Reactions4 New Poetry, a showcase of the UK’s “best young poets” (whose editors overlooked her US citizenship). Clark’s work has also appeared in online and print venues including Paris Review, The New Republic, Boston Review, and Ploughshares. She has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and in secondary schools in China and Italy. A former director of The Hudson Valley Writers Center and CITYterm at The Masters School, she lives in New York’s Hudson River Valley.
