Arlene DeMaris is a freelance writer living in Avon, Connecticut. At present, she is working toward her MFA in the Bennington College Writing Seminars. Her poetry has been published in the Naugatuck River Review and Rust & Moth. Her poem, “Turkeys” won third prize in the 2023 Nutmeg Poetry Contest sponsored by the Connecticut Poetry Society.
