Professor of English at John Jay College, Alexander Long has published four books and four chapbooks, including On Distance (2018) and Still Life (2011). With Christopher Buckley, he is co-editor of A Condition of the Spirit: the Life and Work of Larry Levis (2004). He lives in New Jersey with an ever-growing number of cats, who seem happy.
