David Booth is a humanities teacher and a poet. He is the author of two collections of poetry and prose, Tell Me Please, What’s the Matter (Blue Cedar Press, 2025) and Too Bright to See (Simi Press, 2021). His work has appeared in many places, including Rain City, Chicago Quarterly Review, Prairie Review, Cerasus, Washington Square, and Fourteen Hills. His writing on participatory democracy is published by the M.I.T. Press. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Ingrid Hawkinson.
