Bai Hua (b.1956), a prominent poet and essayist  in contemporary China, is one of the most prolific and awarded writers from Chengdu, southwest China. He started writing in 1979 and currently teaches Chinese literature at Southwest Jiaotong University.

Weijia Pan is a poet and translator from Shanghai, China. His poems have appeared, or are forthcoming, from AGNI, Boulevard, Copper Nickel, Georgia Review, Poetry Daily, and elsewhere. A winner of Cleaver’s Form and Form-breaking Poetry Contest, he is pursuing an MFA in poetry at the University of Houston.
