Lodestar by Diana Adams

You found it
there were no arrows
just trembling hands
greeting people
as they walked right by
your bleeding questions
who did you talk to at last
what silk breath
showed you the dimlit throughway
which began as a scattering
of dust, words someone whispers
watch the dust connect
here I am, I say emerging
in the forest just to the right
of another forest
as though from a mirror
now you can see me
waiting in the periphery
with flame-white hair
